In September, we told you about a collaboration between DC Brau and Epic Brewing. Well, that brew, Fermentation Without Representation, is being launched this Thursday, November 3 at 5pm at Meridian Pint!
Fermentation Without Representation is an imperial pumpkin porter. Kevin Crompton, head brewer at Epic, hosted DC Brau head brewer Jeff Hancock to brew a version of FWR in Utah, and then Jeff turned around and did the same a few weeks later. Brandon Skall, DC Brau CEO, said of the beer, “We used a total of 600 lbs of pumpkin and 7 lbs of Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans. We also added allspice, nutmeg, ground cinnamon, ginger, and whole cloves. It clocks in at 8% ABV!”
At the Meridian Pint event on Thursday, both the Epic and DC Brau versions of FWR will be on tap, as well as other beers from both breweries. 200 limited edition pint glasses will be given away. Additionally, Dave Cole, owner and co-founder of epic will be at the Pint for the launch!
This should be a good time and represents the first of a few collaborations in the works for DC Brau. Swing on by the Pint and try the new beer!
