Many of our readers have expressed an interest in learning more about homebrew.  And while we’re still in the incubation stages for a big bad instructional and educational post, here’s an opportunity to learn from some folks who are about to go pro.

According to an email released today by Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar, on Wednesday, June 2nd, they’ll host a free homebrewing tutorial with special guests, the founders of an up-and-coming DC brewery, Jeff Hancock and Brandon Skall of DC Brau Brewing LLC.  Around 5:00 p.m., these brewers-in-the-making will offer a tutorial in advanced Homebrew techniques.

On Wednesday, they will be brewing on the back deck of LMWGD, and will have some sweet tchockes for sale, including stickers and t-shirts.  You can friend them here and stay in the know as the brewery progresses.   If all goes as planned, DC Brau will be the first production brewery located inside the District of Columbia since 1956.  MD Homebrew and myLHBS will co-sp0nsor the event.

One of DCBeer.com’s newest contributers, Jessica Feil, plans to be in attendance, so be nice and say hello, won’t you?
