If you haven’t been able to get a taste of the new localish brewery Holy Brew, here’s another chance. Scott Kasper from the brewery will be on hand. The Leesburg, VA brewery will be pouring their Pilsner Heavenly Light which is available in 6 packs at Rodman’s and perhaps other places around town. (Readers: have you seen this anywhere in town other than Bar Louie?)
The tasting is from 5PM to 7PM this Friday at Rodman’s on Wisconsin Ave just south of Friendship Heights metro.
Holy Brew was the winner of the Bar Louie Local Brew competition beating out Flying Dog, Hook and Ladder and Dogfish Head in taste tests from Bar Louie patrons. Light pilsner does sound like a beer that could win a non-beer nerd event, but at least they are turning light lager drinkers on to a local craft beer! A gateway beer for sure.
Rodman’s stocks a bunch of craft beer including discounted Brooklyn, Bells, Troegs, Chimay and New Holland. They are stocking New Holland’s Icabod Pumpkin beer. Here is a map of where Rodman’s is… go there and report back on what other beers they have in stock!
