The 2026 baseball season is already almost 3% done and the Nationals don’t stink. That’s progress, we’ll take it!
Nats Park is the single largest beer buyer in the District, so the fate of the team can play an outsized role in the bottom lines of local breweries over the course of a season.
There aren’t many changes from last season for beer fans: the Craft Beer Corner near section 109 in left field still has the best selection of cans, and you’ll see some locals at Marketplace stands (Sections 141, 205, and 233), and an additional Craft Beer Corner near Section 306. District Drafts are located near Sections 110, 119, 129, and 141, as well as 223 and 309 on the top two levels.
In previous seasons, local brewery owners met at the stadium and had a “District Drafts Draft” to ensure a variety of styles over the course of the season. For 2026, there was no draft; the Nats are going with the same beers in the same order, more or less.
One new addition we know of: Denizens is adding a citrusy wheat beer, Potomac Punch, to the ballpark rotation. It’s on tap in Riverdale Park now, and tentative plans are to have it in the stadium later in the season on draft.
The two breweries closest to the stadium have Opening Day plans. Bluejacket is debuting Under the Lights, a west coast IPA with Riwaka, New Zealand Cascade, and Mosaic hops and bringing back a reworked Field of Diamonds, “a hazy IPA, double dry-hopped with Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Hallertau Blanc, delivering notes of orange, white grape, and pineapple.” The restaurant and brewery open at 10am on Friday, April 3, with prizes and giveaways: “the first 100 guests through the door will win special prizes, including free pints, tots, merch, gift cards galore, and our grand prize — a one-year membership to Bluejacket First Class.”
Atlas Brew Works newest location in Anacostia’s Bridge District is an easy walk or bike ride from the stadium, but they’re going to make it easier. “Atlas Brew Works and Redbrick are making game day easier with a complimentary shuttle service for all weekend Washington Nationals home games in April, including this Friday’s Home Opener (April 3). Running Friday through Sunday, the shuttle will transport guests from Bridge District directly to Nationals Park. Pickup will be conveniently located right outside the Atlas Bridge District Brewery & Tap Room, with drop-off near the First Base line along Potomac Ave SE,” a press release tells us.
“Return service will pick up near the Home Plate entrance and bring fans back to the Bridge District. Shuttles will begin running 60 minutes before first pitch and continue through 30 minutes after the game ends. Service is expected to run approximately every 30 minutes, depending on bridge traffic.”
On Monday, April 6, Atlas is bringing Dyngus Day to Anacostia. Expect pirogies and kielbasa, polka music, and a new beer, Dyngus Day Lager. The fun starts at 3pm.
