It’s been a minute since we’ve done a “hey, look at what’s available now!” post, but we figure cans of Heady Topper and Focal Banger IPAs from Vermont’s Alchemist warrant a post. Heady was canned as recently as last Monday, November 3. Focal was Tuesday, so these are fresh.
The fun kicks off on Tuesday, November 11. Dominion Wine & Beer in Falls Church will open with no limits on cans, available both in person and via online ordering.
The Brew Shop will have the same cans available on Wednesday, again with both in-store and online ordering. Rustico‘s release is at 5pm, and they’re selling single cans for on- or off-site consumption if you don’t want to commit to a 4-pack. Outside the Beltway, Norm’s Beer & Wine in Vienna anticipates a Friday arrival for these beers.
We asked Alchemist if these NoVA drops would be a semi-regular occurrence, but alas, this may only happen once or twice a year according to their social media specialist. Keep in mind that New York and Philadelphia sit between the DMV and the brewery; those cities are more likely to get cans than we are. Nonetheless, happy hunting out there, try not to hoard, and be sure to check the social media of your favorite retailers, bars, and restaurants in northern Virginia for more details, especially because at least in Richmond there was a Cantillon drop as well.
