As DC Beer Week enters the home stretch, local brewery 3 Stars is pulling out all the stops. The celebration officially ends on Saturday, September 26, and 3 Stars has plans for every day until then.
You can order their newest Hazy IPA, Zoombox, for pickup on Thursday, September 24th (if it’s still available when you read this – it’ll go fast). Cofounder Dave Coleman says Zoombox is “a testimonial to how a large part of our population now conducts business and visits with family and friends online with conference calls and web conferences. Instead of hanging out together and listening to music, doing some work on the BBQ, and having a few beers, we now do all these things via online video calls.”
On Friday, 3 Stars will have a live, virtual concert with local legend cover band White Ford Bronco. Tickets will get you an access code to watch the performance with opt-ins for beer style incentives to go along with the concert experience. Stay tuned for more on that.
To wrap up this year’s DC Beer Week festivities, 3 Stars will host a massive, virtual Beer Fest with our team and 150 or so of our closest, yet socially distanced, friends. Tickets are on sale now on their website, and will likely go pretty quick. The $45 dollar cover charge gets you access to the party “room”, a custom-designed drinking glass, and a hand-selected 8-pack of current and new specialty releases. You can add a second glass for your mate for just $10 more.
3 Stars will have members of team participating as well as special guests. The festivities last from 3:00 pm to -5:00 pm(ish) on Saturday.
