Port City’s rotating lager series has produced a lot of gems. In my humble opinion, their best is Schwartzbier, and given a Great American Beer Festival gold medal for their German-style Pilsner, that’s no small feat. Well, Schwartzbier is back!
Because it’s cold as I write this, here’s a massive beast from Elder Pine. It’s in limited distribution and has smoked malt, so I’m in.
Speaking of winter beers Coffee Wallops Island from Rocket Frog is in distribution, too.
But back to hops: be on the lookout for both Troeg’s Nugget Nectar and Bell’s Hopslam soon, too!
Keeping it hoppy, and intermittently new to market, is upstate New York’s Sloop Brewing. I’ve had some of their haze and it’s goooood.
