You asked. We asked. And finally, it’s back. This issue of New Releases kicks off with the District’s original whale, On the Wings of Armageddon, which returns on Thursday, October 10th. DC Brau has made a lot of it. “Of all the beers we’ve brewed at DC Brau over the last eight years, On the Wings of Armageddon is hands-down the one we get asked about the most,” says CEO & co-founder Brandon Skall. “We’re excited to bring it back for the season in such wide distribution.”

DC Brau has made enough of the beer to satisfy its entire northeast distribution footprint, and they’ll pour it alongside their barrel-aged stout, Churros for Breakfast, at Snallygaster on the 12th.
But wait! New releases, too!
DC Brau will also release a pair of lagers on the 10th: Stacked Vote India Pale Lager and Nitro Mocha Pils. DC Brau describes the IPL thusly: “This crushable 4.5% ABV India Pale Lager has been triple dry-hopped with Comet and Hallertau Blanc hops resulting in a bright, earthy palate with fruity and herbal notes of lemongrass, citrus and berry. Customers will find packs of the orange-domed cans and on draft around the District at independent craft retailers and bars, in the tasting room at the brewery, as well as at The Salt Line’s 3rd annual Oyster Wars on Sunday, October 13th.”
You’d think that something called Nitro Mocha Pils would come in tallboys and be sold for $22/4-pack, but no, it’s draft-only. “This crisp 4.5% ABV lager is brewed with Hallertau Tradition hops and Barke Pils malts along with cocoa, lactose and Junius cold brew coffee for a smooth and balanced sip carrying a nice mocha finish,” notes the brewery, making sure all us beer nerds hit keyword bingo.
All three beers will be available at the brewery at 4 PM on the 10th, while supplies last. Enjoy!
