Denizen Brewing Company turns 5 years old this month and will celebrate with an anniversary party on Saturday, July 13th at their Silver Spring Barrel House and Beer Garden. The party will have a New Orleans theme and guests are encouraged (but not required) to dress in their best Mardi Gras outfit.

There will be a spectacular line up of music and dancing throughout the night, with live music by the Naptown Brass Band, a drag show, and an all-vinyl DJ until 11:00 pm.
Co-founder Julie Verratti attributed Denizens’ success to their “awesome staff, some of which have been with us for almost the whole time we have been open”. She also credits the fact that she and her co-founders Emily Bruno and Jeff Ramirez are active owners and operators who are in their taprooms or out in the field representing Denizens every day of the week.
In addition to the performances, Denizens will be offering po’boys and blue hurricanes to keep with the theme, and there will be contests with prizes and chances to win free beer.
The event is free to the public.
