"It has been an honor to serve the District of Columbia's independent beer maker community as the President of the DC Brewers' Guild since our inception in 2014. With the support of our allies both here in DC and across the country, we’ve developed into a thriving organization that promotes and advocates for local independent beer. In my final term, my primary goal is to increase the sustainability of the Guild to further advance our community’s success as we grow and evolve." said Mari Rodela, DCBG Board President.
The DCBG’s goal is to highlight DC’s local craft beer producers by strengthening the voices of individual breweries, heightening consumer awareness and pride for locally made craft beer, and implementing programs that increase the visibility and sustainability of independent craft beer in the District. The next major program supporting the DCBG will be the 4 th annual Hopfest hosted by Hellbender Brewing Company (Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Hellbender 5788 2nd St NE, Washington, DC 20011) The DCBG is also the proud producer of DC Beer Week, an 8-day celebration of craft beer across the DMV, which will enjoy its 10th year in late August 2018.
