Neighborhood gastropub City Tap Dupont (1250 Connecticut Ave NW; 202-878-8235) will open its doors to the public for dinner on Monday, October 9, serving American fare and pouring drafts from 40 tap lines in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Northwest DC. Guests can look forward to a lively happy hour scene and late night entertainment with possible DJ sets on weekends, as well as a fresh destination for brunch which kicks off Saturday, October 14 and lunch later this fall. Guests can make reservations before doors open by emailing info.dupont@citytap.com, although reservations will be accepted on OpenTable starting October 2. City Tap Dupont is the second City Tap location in Washington for parent company Table 95 Hospitality, which opened City Tap Penn Quarter in winter 2013.
Conveniently located just south of the Dupont Circle metro station, City Tap Dupont will serve modern American dishes, combining fresh new plates with favorites guests may recognize from City Tap Penn Quarter. Exciting new menu additions include grilled ahi tuna with shrimp and avocado ceviche and pumpkin burrata bruschetta, served alongside flavorful City Tap signatures like corn and crab hushpuppies with honey butter. Rotating specials like crispy suckling pig will be offered on different days of the week, with a unique ‘Green Special’ dinner feature available on Sundays utilizing fresh ingredients from the nearby FRESHFarm Dupont Market. During brunch, guests can enjoy plates like a Maryland crab Benedict, crispy pork hash, and chicken and waffles, as well as bottomless mimosas and a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar for $18. A focused late night food menu featuring satisfying dishes will also be available from 11pm to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays for guests grabbing a bite at the end of the evening.
True to the City Tap brand, City Tap Dupont delivers on the beer with an impressive 40 draft lines and a selection that will switch up seasonally and during tap takeovers hosted throughout the year. Over 30 choices of bottled and canned beers are available in addition to the draft lineup, as well as a curated wine list and a cocktail menu featuring premium takes on established classics.
Happy hour at City Tap Dupont will run Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm, featuring $4 canned craft beer selections, 13 draft beers available for $5, $6 house wines, and $6 mixed drinks. Snackable plates like elote corn dip, Israeli hummus, charred brussels sprouts, and BBQ pulled pork sliders will be available for $6 during happy hour. Management is looking to debut late night entertainment later this fall, with plans for a live DJ spinning on Friday and Saturday nights.
City Tap Dupont will serve dinner Monday through Sunday from 5pm to 11pm, and a limited late night menu from 11pm until 1am on Friday and Saturday; brunch from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays; and will introduce lunch later this fall.
