DC BREWERS’ GUILD TO CELEBRATE LOCALLY-BREWED CRAFT BEER DURING DC BEER WEEK 2017, AUGUST 20-27
New special events announced to take place across the DistrictWASHINGTON (Aug. 10, 2017) — The DC Brewers’ Guild (DCBG) will celebrate the District’s craft beer community through an exciting roster of events taking place during the 9th annual DC Beer Week (DCBW) being held August 20-27, 2017.
DCBW’s Marquee events will be held in cooperation with local breweries, bars, restaurants, and other partners, including Old Ebbitt Grill, Buffalo & Bergen’s Suburbia, DC Brau Brewing Company, and more! These events will take place across the D.C. area, offering something for everyone, from the craft beer enthusiast to the casual happy hour bar crawler.
This weeklong D.C. tradition also offers wonderful educational opportunities and tasting events highlighting the Guild’s ongoing commitment to D.C.’s dynamic craft beer community.

Aug. 20, 2017, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.Kick off DC Beer Week with Buffalo & Bergen’s Suburbia and LINK Strategic Partners as they host the region's more than 20 top breweries, cideries, and meaderies at Union Market.
Right Proper Brewing Company: Solidarity Beer Release Party
Aug. 21, 2017, 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.Breweries across the D.C. region collaborated on Solidarity Brett IPA. Host brewery Right Proper taps this DCBW exclusive and raises a glass to Solidarity Homebrew Competition winners. Come for the beer, stay for the Solidarity!
Heurich House Museum: Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon
Aug. 22, 2017, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.The Heurich House Museum has partnered with Wikimedia DC to celebrate DC Beer Week by hosting a Wikipedia Edit-A-thon focusing on pages related to D.C.’s beer history.
Atlas Brew Works: Does Independence Matter? A discussion about ownership in the Craft Beer Marketplace
Aug. 23, 2017, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.Atlas Brew Works hosts a panel of industry professionals from the brewery, distribution, retailer, and legal perspectives to discuss the important topic of independent craft beer. Discussion includes diving into independent ownership of craft breweries as a value proposition to consumers.
