Snallygaster, the impetus for us to nigh-arbitrarily power rank hundreds of excellent beers from across the country and globe, will return to First and N Streets SE on September 23, 2017 from 1pm to 6pm. Before you ask, yes it's rain or shine. Yes, it'll probably rain, if past is prologue (note: this is not how meteorology works, probably). No, it shouldn't stop you, regardless.
Anyway, Snallygaster, or "Snally" is D.C.’s biggest craft beer festival and it brings no fewer than 350 unique craft beers and ciders Yards Park. It's returning for the sixth year. Beyond the beers, there will be local food trucks, two stages of live music, games and more. Beer Director Greg Engert curates each and every selection at this unique festival (and we rank them). The sixth annual Snallygaster will be the biggest yet, with classic seasonal brews alongside little-known imports, rare and exotic ales in addition to the best of American craft drafts, as well as cask ales and gravity-kegs of Franconian lager.
All ticket sales will benefit Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the Washington, D.C. area.
Admission is $10 at the door. Once inside, Snallybucks are available for $1 per ticket. Full beers (14 ounces) will be priced from 5-9 tickets (on average) and tasting portions (6 ounces) will cost 3-6 tickets on average, tax included. Food is priced individually depending on the item. Advance tickets with special pricing are now on-sale at www.snallygasterdc.com:
