Bloomingdale's Tricia McCauley was a regular at Boundary Stone in addition to her work in the DC theater scene and at Yoga District around the corner from the restaurant. Tomorrow Atlas honors her with Isla De Encanta, a sessionable chocolate stout, and fellow breweries DC Brau and 3 Stars are bringing On the Wings of Armageddon and Citra Lemon Peel Saison, respectively. All proceeds from these three draft lines will go to Bloomingdale's Common Good City Farm, where Tricia worked as an herbalist. Go drink for a good cause and celebrate the memory of someone who helped make DC just a little bit better.
The press release:
“Boundary Stone (116 Rhode Island Ave, NW) is hosting a benefit for Common Good City Farm beginning Thursday in memory of Bloomingdale resident Tricia McCauley. In addition to charitable contributions to the cause from both 3 Stars Brewing and DC Brau (a rotation of DC Brau and 3-Stars on the “Common Good” Tap, with all proceeds going to support the farm), Atlas Brew Works will debut “Isla De Encanta” – a beer brewed in her honor and especially for this event. All proceeds will go to Common Good City Farm in Bloomingdale, a non-profit organization where Tricia honed her skills as an herbalist.
Common Good will also be dedicating a memorial herb garden at their location on Sat, April 15th at 11AM.”
