In an effort to keep readers informed about the newest beers (local and otherwise) appearing in the market and on beer menus, we'll be sharing the beer submissions we get from breweries and brewpubs. These may be brand new beers or they may be beers returning to rotations (e.g., seasonals, limited releases), or they may be one-offs. Brewery Name: Denizens Brewing Co.
Beer Name: Sex Panther (India Black Lager-6.2)
Beer Description: This lager is black in color with little to no levels of roast characteristics, similar to a European schwarzbier; however, we slightly boosted the ABV and hopped the lager at the rate of an American IPA. The clean fermentation characteristic allows for the hops and malts to be showcased over a blank canvas. Notes of guava, pine, and citrus dominate the flavor profile, with some malt character to balance the hops.
