Okay, just a few quick hits as some DC-area brewers move around this summer.

Josh Chapman is leaving NRG's Bluejacket to open Black Narrows Brewing in Chincoteague, Virginia along with his wife. Look for an opening in the fall. More breweries on the Eastern Shore is a good thing. We hope to have something of an exit interview with Josh shortly. NRG will look to replace him, but no word on who or when that might be as of now.

Rob Fink will leave District Chophouse in Penn Quarter and head to Jailbreak, in Laurel. In steps DC Homebrewer of Some Note Erich Streckfuss, to assist Brewmaster Barret Lauer. By the way, you should be drinking Chophouse's beers, especially during happy hour.

In bottle shop news, Craft Beer Cellar, which has 24 stores around the country, will open at 301 H St NE on Saturday, August 6th, with tastings from DC Brau, Union Craft Brewing, and a rare DC appearance from Adroit Theory. Per a press release, look for "a beer selection never before seen in the District," which, given our grey laws, is a bold statement. Nonetheless, I've been in several other Craft Beer Cellars, and come away impressed with both staff knowledge and selection. It will be a very good spot to mix and match bottles and cans for all your at-home beer tasting needs, and will also have wine, spirits, cider, and foodstuffs. Doors open at 10am on the 6th.
