Tomorrow, 3 Stars Brewing Company will open their “Urban Farmhouse,” an enclosed 100-person tasting room and event space constructed within the Takoma brewery. The 1,100-square-foot interior addition provides a venue to host community and private events year-round as well as a temperature-controlled place to get a high-quality craft beer. In the Urban Farmhouse, which encloses the growler, pint, and sampler bar previously in the open air brewery, visitors can now enjoy both heating and air conditioning, according to the season.

The 60-seat country-style “Urban Farmhouse” is a freestanding space within the brewery warehouse. Crafted from reclaimed wood and corrugated metal and draped in unfinished wooden shingles, the farmhouse is a "playful juxtaposition against the otherwise industrial space," according to a press release. The "Urban Farmhouse" was also the original name of 3 Stars' Peppercorn Saison.

The space features retractable garage doors, through which guests can mingle beneath high beamed ceilings with suspended bourbon-barrel chandeliers.  Local rotating art and graffiti from DC artists are featured, and the space also includes a DJ booth, bathrooms with beer can-lined mirrors, and Guerilla vending machines which will be stocked daily with local snack options.

According to a press releae, "The new space aligns with 3 Stars’ belief in supporting and working with the local community. As a local start-up itself, it’s continually hosted local vendors, artists and other startups for food, music and social events. The Urban Farmhouse now serves as the premier backdrop."

The November 6th Grand Opening Party, open to the public, will feature half-priced pints, a bluegrass band, and a specialty beer release in celebration of the farmhouse space.
