Via a press release:

Washington, DC (May 15, 2015) – 3 Stars Brewing Company is issuing a voluntary recall of their 750ml bottles of Pandemic Porter due to an unintentional development of flavors in the final product.

3 Stars is currently working with distributors to identify and isolate all cases from this one batch of the product.

“We take great pride in all of our beers, and Pandemic is certainly one of our favorites. Once in bottles, this batch developed some unintended flavors. We do not find that that this batch lives up to the quality that you, our valued customers, deserve. While there is no risk of harm from consumption, we feel that this batch of bottles falls short of our standards”- Mike McGarvey, Head Brewer of 3 Stars Brewing Company.

Committed to providing customers with high-quality drinking experiences, 3 Stars does not feel this batch accurately represents our standards or our craft. Therefore, we invite you to return any unopened bottle of Pandemic to our tap room during regular business hours and we will be happy to issue you a credit, or exchange it for a comparable bottled product or merchandise of equal value.

“We brew our beer with purpose and conviction, so we will never put forth a product that does not meet our high flavor standards,” says Dave Coleman, co-founder of 3 Stars Brewing Company.
