Great news for all you Brau fans who had to suffer through empty growlers – the brewery will reopen the tasting room this Saturday, 7/12. From a press release:
After several weeks of heavy lifting, welding and reorganizing, DC Brau is thrilled to announce that it’s reopening the brewery to the public with weekly growler hours starting this Saturday, July 12th from 1 to 5pm.
“This expansion to the brewery was the most extensive undertaking we’ve done in support of our fermentation space since we opened more than three years ago,” says Brandon Skall, DC Brau CEO & co-founder. “We were just as ready for the construction to be completed as our fans were. Jeff and our brewing team couldn’t wait to start filling them up with new brews that should be ready in a few short weeks. We really appreciate everyone’s patience over the last eight weeks!”
To celebrate the grand re-opening of growler hours, the brewery will be tapping some special beers they put aside “for a rainy day,” in addition to several of their core offerings, including 9th Gate, Pauncy Stout, Solidarity English Summer Ale, Daughters of Poseidon IPA, the Public, the Citizen, Corruption and the Penn Quarter Porter. There are limited amounts of the special beers, and will most likely run out early.
Free tours of the facility will start every hour on the hour starting at 2pm. Guests are reminded to wear closed-toed shoes if they plan to go on a tour. DC Brau t-shirts, hats, stickers, glassware and more will also be available for purchase in the tasting room, including new flag shirts and five-panel hats. Red Apron Butcher will be on site during the day selling food.
