Last year, Lost Rhino collaborated with Vintage 50, Hardywood Park, and Bluejacket to craft a "Pretty in Pink" saison to commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Lost Rhino is bringing it back with a whole host of new collaborators. From a press release:
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, women from the local craft brew community: Capitol City Brewing Company (DC), Front Street Brewery (Wilmington, NC), Lost Rhino Brewing Company (Ashburn, VA), Mad Fox Brewing Company (Falls Church, VA), Meridian Pint (DC), and Smoke and Barrel (DC) came together and crafted a beer for hope.
This saison is brewed with Willamette, Hallertau, Gold, and Perle hops. Combined with Belgian yeast and pomegranate, our pink saison is slightly tart with subtle fruit esters. The brewers present this beer as a salute to the memory and bravery of those women and men fighting breast cancer, and a toast to the day when we find a cure.
Lost Rhino Brewing Company will donate a portion of their proceeds to VCU Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, VA.
