Monday, August 12 at 7:00 PM – Boulevard Brewing BBQ Dinner at Brasserie Beck – 1101 K Street NW
To kick off #DCBW13 at Brasserie Beck, we will be hosting Boulevard Brewing Company for our next beer dinner. Boulevard man of the hour Matt "Heff" Hefferman will be guest of honor, guiding attendees through Boulevard's offerings for the evening. Given that Boulevard hails from one of the country's top BBQ destinations (Kansas City), Brasserie Beck has decided to let Chef Anthony Acinapura craft a BBQ menu for the night. Cashion's Eat Place will be pairing beers with a special seasonal menu items to celebrate DCBW. Boulevard Featured Pairings – These items will be offered throughout DC Beer Week from 5:30pm to 11pm. Prices will range from $13 to $15 depending on the pairing.

Wednesday, August 14 at 4:00 PM – Home States Celebration featuring Boulevard ZON – Smith Commons – 1245 H Street NE
Boulevard has teamed up with Smith Commons, and several local organizations representing natives of the central Midwest, to celebrate the territory that has sustained the brewery over its first 25 years in business. ZON Belgian-style Witbier is the home state's summer seasonal, a GABF Gold Medal Winner, and is very rarely seen on the East Coast despite its extremely loyal following back home. It will be poured alongside DC favorite Single-Wide IPA and the renowned Saison-Brett. Smith Commons will be paying homage to the KC faithful by featuring Cowtown's favorite cuts: brisket and strip steak. All specialty items will be available a la carte. No ticket required. Boulevard Representative "Heff" Matthew Heffernan will be on hand to sample and talk beer. Come enjoy this easy sipping wit in the summer breeze on Smith's large back patios, and raise a glass to the heart of the US.

Only Beer Can Break Your Heart with Allagash and Boulevard – A Tribute to Neil Young and Poutine – Smoke and Barrel – 2471 18th Street NW 24 Boulevard/Allagash drafts including the release of Boulevard Reverb Imperial Pilsner plus Saison-Brett, Rye-on-Rye, Coffee Ale, and out-of-market drafts Zon Witbier, Pale Ale, and Single-Wide IPA. Allagash drafts will include Bourbon Black, Confluence, Victor, Victoria, Grand Cru, Odyssey, Fluxus 2013, Yakuza, and the brewery-only Golden Brett. Smoke & Barrel's Chef Logan McGear will also be showcasing several poutine recipes including beer pairings, to celebrate Neil Young's Canadian birthplace, and the best food product to ever come out of that country. This event was the brainchild of Allagash's Suzy Woods and Boulevard's "Heff" Matthew Heffernan who share a love of the music of Neil Young and french fries topped with gravy and other assorted toppings.

Saturday, August 17 at 4:00 PM – 1st Annual DCBW Beer Mixology Pro-Am – Jack Rose Dining Saloon – 2007 18th Street NW
As beer expands into all manner of flavor and aromatic elements, it is only natural that some would ask, "How do we take that complexity even further?" Jack Rose will play host to some of the East Cost's most beloved mixologists this DC Beer Week, as they bring the flair of cocktails and spirits into the conversation. Boulevard Brewing Co, Flying Dog, and Brewery Ommegang are sponsoring the action and their beers will be the basis of each creation. The roof deck will allow ticket holders to be a part of the judging process while tasting every entry to the competition for one set price. They will also be invited to observe the artists at work, and watch the industry expert judges confer to pick a grand champion. Admission is $25 day of the event. Those wishing to join in the festivities on an a la carte basis will have the option of purchasing any of the competing cocktails in the downstairs bar.

Tired from a long DC Beer Week? Hungover? You need bacon and beer. Come partake in DC's first and last ever taste of Boulevard test batch beer Nelson IPA. It is a session IPA that has been conditioned with grape must. It will be poured alongside the much anticipated Pop-Up IPA, another sessionable and hoppy offering from KC's finest. Come get right and enjoy some rare, low ABV brews, with Chef Brad Walker's outstanding brunch menu. No ticket required, all items available a la carte.
