DC Beer Week 2014 returns from August 17-24. Although we have day-by-day line-ups posted, it may also be helpful for the #DCBrews community to check out what some players that are going above and beyond will be offering. Monday, August 18 – 7pm – The Craft of Comedy: Hosted by emcee extraordinaire Sean Joyce, we'll have stand up comics and improv groups performing while we focus our attention on 4 breweries, each with 1 year round and 1 specialty draft! Locally represented are Flying Dog (Single Hop Citra, Snakedog) and Atlas Brew Works (NSFW, Rowdy). Repping not-DC are Lagunitas (Hop Stoopid, IPA) and Ommegang (Glimmerglass, Rare Vos). Raffle tickets will be given out each time one of the spotlighted beers are ordered for swag, brewery tours, and other goodies!
Wednesday, August 20 – 4pm – Crab Feast with Evolution: It's a crab feast with our good friends from Evo! We're pouring Fall Migration, Wandering Monk, Lot 3, Exile ESB, and Primal! We'll be serving by the half dozen (prices tbd) but will have a limited supply of both beer and crabs so get here early for good grub and special goodies!
Thursday, August 21 – 4pm – Jerk the Belles with Jerkface DC and 3 Stars Brewing: Another 3 Stars and Jerkface Artisanal Beef Jerky Team Up! Jerkface took 3 Stars' delicious Southern Belle (Imperial Brown) and infused the meat with a simple syrup made with the beer. In turn, the 3 Stars gang took some Jerkface Garlic Chili and put it in a cask to marinate! Along with these crazy concoctions we'll be pouring the elusive Danny Greene, Peppercorn Saison, and Samsquanch! Supplies are limited so get here early!
Friday, August 22 – 4pm – "Everything's Coming Up MilHouse Beers!": It's a Simpsons Tap Takeover! To celebrate FXX showing every Simpsons episode in order starting from the beginning, all of our already famous House Beers will be getting the Duff treatment! That's right, during happy hours you'll be able to order a $3 Duff Amber, Duff Light, Duff Wheat, or Duff IPA! We'll be showing it on AT LEAST one of our large screen HD TVs. Watch out for Duffman!
