Tuesday, August 13 at 5:00 pm – Dogfish Head Infused Beer Night featuring Randall Jr.
Scion Restaurant (Dupont Circle)

In addition, Dogfish Head will be infusing their beers in house using their very own creation, Randall Jr, the mini version of Randall the Enamel Animal. Randall is a system that "allows the user to run beer through a chamber of whole-leaf hops, spices, herbs, fruit, etc. … strips the flavor from whatever you add and puts it in the beer."
Scion and Dogfish Head will infuse 5 different beers with 5 unique ingredients using the Randall Jr. Possible ingredients include hops, bacon, peanuts, herbs, fruit, or even candy. Guests will also be able to customize beer infusions by combining beers with the ingredient of their choice. Randall ingredients TBA.

Scion Restaurant (Dupont Circle) and Crios Modern Mexican
12 Breweries / 24 Hoppy Beers / Zero Names / One Winner. Vote for your favorite beer and win prizes from participating breweries!
Scion Restaurant (Dupont Circle) and Crios Modern Mexican, in conjunction with DCBeer.com, invite you to a one-of-a-kind event, Blind & Bitter: Hop Face-Off. Scion and Crios will offer 24 different hoppy, bitter beers with a twist: we won't tell you what they are. Neither the name of the beer, nor the brewery, will be listed on the menu. Guests will choose from 24 beers based solely on minimal tasting notes.
To help with the party, we invited 12 of our favorite breweries, each bringing two of their finest hoppy ales. Highlights include beers rarely seen in the market, such as Boulevard Single Wide IPA, and brand new beers, Evolution Incubator #2 and Boulevard Pop-Up IPA.
To make it more interesting, each brewery also agreed to participate in a winner-take-all contest, decided by popular vote. We're asking you, the customer, to help choose a winner by voting for your favorite beers of the night. Guests will receive prizes from participating breweries with every vote, while supplies last. The brewery with the most votes at the end of the event will receive a permanent draft line for the rest of 2013, along with ultimate bragging rights!
Guests may vote once per hour, maximum 3 votes. Representatives from participating breweries will be in attendance. Each beer will be available in both full and 4 oz. tasting portions. Reservations or tickets are not required for this event. More details will be announced at a later date.
