Heritage Brewing Company, located in Manassas, is slated to open this fall. The brewery has launched as Kickstarter campaign in an effort to build out the tasting room and allow for construction of the fermentation chamber for their pilot chamber.
Heritage is going to be a 20 BBL system that will also launch with a small-batch pilot system and an oak barrel aging program. They're planning to launch with four brews:
- Revolution – organic amber ale
- The Teddy – American pale ale
- Ironsides – American session ale
- Kings Mountain – Scot-American ale
Be sure to check out the video on the Kickstarter, as it's a pretty good introduction to the brewery and the men behind it. Sean Arroyo, Heritage's CEO, writes via email that, "We…try and do everything in a sustainable, environmentally friendly, locally sourced and organic where possible." Two-thirds of the brewery's management team are also military veterans.
The Kickstarter runs for 13 more days. As of this posting, Heritage has earned 60% of its $20,000 primary goal. They'll need to reach $20,000 in order by Sunday, July 28 at 8pm to get the funding from the Kickstarter.
