It wasn't too long ago that we welcomed Crios, Scion's little brother, to the craft beer party. Well, we've got more good news from beer director and all-around solid dude Tim Liu.
It's no longer technically "news", but the second Scion opened up in Silver Spring two weeks ago. The Maryland restaurant boasts 12 drafts, which will rotate like the Dupont location's. The bottle list currently stands at 35, but will eventually settle around 70. At the time of Tim's email, this was the draft list:
- Anderson Valley Summer Solstice
- Ballast Point Victory at Sea
- Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat
- Bruery Rugbrod
- Elysian Superfuzz
- Firestone Walker Wookey Jack
- Flying Dog Wildeman
- Lagunitas New Dogtown
- New Belgium Rolle Bolle
- Port City Monumental IPA
- Sierra Nevada Summerfest
- Southern Tier 2XIPA
Crios will soon have more bottles, edging up toward about 20, with its 6 drafts rotating more frequently, a la the Scion model. Here's what they were pouring:
- 3 Stars Sea Change
- Bells Oberon
- DC Brau Public
- Flying Dog Underdog
- Lagunitas IPA
- Uinta Baba
And finally, Scion DC and Scion SS will both start up with Sunday happy hours this week. From five to close, you can get drafts for 1/2 off. That's in addition to the same deal M-F from 5 to 7.
Go get 'em, drinkers.
