CBC 2013 Events: Boundary Road

There are a number of events related to Craft Brewers Conference 2013. Although we have day-by-day line-ups posted, it may also be helpful for attendees and the #DCBrews community to check out what some venues that are going above and beyond will be offering. Here are the events for H Street's Boundary Road. Tuesday, March 26

Bring the Funk – Boundary Road – 5:30pm

For those of you feeling funky, Boundary Road is the place: they're pouring rare, funkified stuff from New Belgium, Firestone Walker, Heavy Seas, and more – and pairing them all with cheese.
New Belgium: Cascara Quad (Belgian-style quad brewed with dates and coffee cherries), Transatlantique Kriek (collaboration with Brewerij Boon of Belgium. blended lambic with Polish cherries)
Heavy Seas Siren Noire (bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout)
Firestone Walker Pale 31 (California pale ale)
Boulevard: Tank 7 (saison), Grainstorm (black rye IPA)
Allagash: Grand Cru, Bourbon Barrel Black (Belgian-style stout aged in bourbon barrels)
 

Wednesday, March 27

Baltimore Beer Night – Boundary Road – 5:30pm

Our neighbors to the north are rolling up with some of their finest stuff.  You'll see beers from the Brewer's Art, Union Craft Brewing, Oliver Ales, and Stillwater, as well as crews from at least the first three.  And Balto-bred Chef Brad will relive his youth by cooking up some tasty B-more treats.
Draft:
Brewer's Art: Tiny Tim (brewed with buckwheat honey and hibiscus flowers and "dry hopped" with Rosemary), Green Peppercorn Tripel (Belgian-style tripel finished with Madagascar green peppercorns)
Oliver Ale: Strongman Pale Ale (dry-hopped with Sorachi Ace), Dark Horse (dark mild), Winter's Wolves ("heavy metal in liquid form")
Union: Yonder Cities IPA (new collaboration with DC Brau), Duckpin Pale, Rye Baby (rye IPA with farmhouse yeast)
Cask:
Oliver Ale/Evolution EVOL (5% dark ale single hop Bramling Cross, fermented with Saison yeasts)
Bottles and Cans:
Stillwater Stateside (saison), Brewer's Art La Petroleuse (bier de garde), Brewer's Art Ozzy (golden strong ale), Brewer's Art Resurrection (Belgian-style brown ale)
 
Thursday, March 28

Back Forty Beer Tasting – Boundary Road – 5:30pm

This is your first chance to taste the Alabama brewery's beers in DC.  Meet the brewers, thank them for their work.

  • Naked Pig (pale ale)
  • Truck Stop Honey (brown ale brewed with honey)
  • Freckle Belly (IPA)
  • Kudzu (porter)

Friday, March 29

Mother Earth Brewing Beers & Pairings – Boundary Road – 5:30pm

Boundary Road matches beers from the acclaimed NC brewery with companionable dishes.

Draft:
  • Window Pane Series 3 (Belgian-style dubbel brewed with figs and raisins, aged in North Carolina brandy barrels)
  • Window Pane Series 4 (double American wheat beer fermented with North Carolina raspberries, then aged in pinot noir and chardonnay barrels)
  • Silent Night (Imperial Stout)
  • Sisters of the Moon (IPA)
  • Weeping Willow Wit
  • Endless River (Kolsch)
  • Dark Cloud (Munich Dunkel)
  • Second Wind (Pale Ale)
