Two bits of news from Chocolate City Beer today, both of which provide a strong incentive to visit their growler hours tomorrow.

First, some of you may remember The Mothership Connection, the brewery's seasonal weizenbock that was released last year. Well, it's back! CCB's CMO, Jay Irizarry reports via email that the beer is "weighing in at just under/at (still finishing up) 9% ABV. With notes of caramel, dark fruits, coriander, and banana. We will only release a limited amount of sixtels that can only accommodate a handful of taps around town, once we have them placed we will release a list of establishments. Most will be sold directly at the brewery during our Saturday Growler Hours."

Next, you may recall that CCB beer is only normally available via draft. Well, that's changing at least for one limited offering. Tomorrow, February 2 during growler hours (12:30-4:30pm at 2801 8th Street NE), Chocolate City will release Mister Mayor Oak Aged Imperial Stout. This 11.5% imperial stout was brewed with marionberries and then aged for seven months in Copper Fox Whisky Barrels. This yielded 100 22oz. bombers that will be for sale.
