Homebrewers: Save the Date! Neighborhood Farm Initiative Homebrew Contest in Early March

You may remember that in the past the Neighborhood Farm Initiative has hosted homebrew contests. Well, 2013 heralds said contest's return! NFI would like to invite all area homebrewers to participate in their Third Annual Homebrew Competition. Last year's contest was a great success, and NFI handed out prizes to seven different brewers, including awards for best beer, most sustainable and best backstory.

They are hoping to make this year's Homebrew an even bigger event. This year's competition will take place in early March of 2013. The specific date is still being determined, but they want to be sure they give homebrewers a chance and enough time to brew a beer for the contest.

If you are interested in participating, please send Fay Augustyn an email letting her know that you'd like to be added to the brewers list. Once they have an exact date settled on, which should be within the week, DCBeer will update this post.

Good luck, area homebrewers!
