The Pug, that venerable H Street watering hole, is no stranger to the drink local movement: all 10 of its draft lines are devoted to beers produced within 250 miles of the bar.
Tonight, they take it up a notch with their inaugural "Local Night". Each and every Wednesday, local producers – of beer, booze, or b…food – will stop in to talk about their wares. This week, Dave Coleman of 3 Stars comes by at 7pm to talk DC brewskis and dish out some tasty Southern Belle and Harvest Ale.
With the growing bounty of brewers in and around Das Capital – never mind the sundry distillers, cheesemakers, butchers, sausageers, artisinauts, and Smuckers now populating the area – the Pug has a lot of local producers to showcase. Cheers to that.
