Oregon’s Widmer Brothers Brewery is hosting a multi-faceted event in DC on Wednesday, October 3 at the Longview Gallery near the Convention Center and accessible by the Yellow and Green Metro Lines. The event “Explore Your Craft,” is a celebration of the artistry of brewing, cooking, visual art, and musical performance all centered around Widmer Brothers beers. Explore Your Craft (EYC) will feature a chef-designed menu of dishes made specifically for and with Widmer Brothers beers, served at pairing stations throughout Long View Gallery. A visual and musical feast will fill the space, with a live performance artist and unique soundscapes from local musicians. Once inspired by pints and plates, patrons can test their artistic hand and create a special, one-of-a-kind work of art on a large mural. Widmer Brothers Brewers will also be onsite for a live demonstration in brewing.

Widmer Brothers Brewing was started by Kurt and Rob Widmer in 1984 in Portland, Oregon. The Explore Your Craft series began in 2011 with events in Boston, San Francisco, Orlando and Seattle and will continue in 2012 with seven events, including Washington, DC.
