Over the past two weeks, 3 Stars Brewing has rolled out a saison (Urban Farmhouse), an imperial brown (Southern Belle), and an imperial coffee porter (Pandemic) at bars and restaurants throughout Washington, DC. Starting this Saturday, August 25th, at 1pm, you can buy these brews directly from the brewery, located at 6400 Chillum Place, NW, for off-site consumption. 3 Stars will fill growlers and offer tours until 6pm, and the homebrew shop will be open as well should you be so inspired by their beer that you want to make your own. Tours will last between 20 and 30 minutes, covering all aspects of the brewing process, ending with samples of the final product, delicious beer, in the tasting room-slash-homebrew shop. You can also buy 3 Stars merchandise. Better yet, tours and the samples that follow are free. Growlers branded with the 3 Stars logo will run you $5, while fills will be $15 (Urban Farmhouse) or $20 (Southern Belle and Pandemic Porter). To further entice you, the PORC truck will be on the premises starting at 1pm as well, offering barbecue-based cuisine.
UPDATE: We’ve been informed that tastings cost $2. Carry on.
