DC Beer Week Friday Night Preview

Over the course of DC Beer Week, you’ve attended an unseemly number of events, given a smorgasbord of barroom toasts, and tasted more beers than you can shake even your shakiest stick at.  “I might just sit this one out”, you think to yourself.

Fight back that urge!  Steel yourself for one more glorious day of malt-filled glory!  DC Beer Week is quickly coming to an end and I promise you, you would regret your truancy for the rest of your earthly days.  You’d stand to miss so much:

  • Special casks, like the Breckenridge Agave Wheat on mango and habaneros at Scion and a Port City cask at the brewery
  • Tap takeovers, like New Belgium at H Street Country Club, Dominion/Fordham at Bourbon Adams Morgan, Sam Adams at Jack Rose, and Heavy Seas at Elephant and Castle
  • Regional highlights, like Northeast night at Smith Commons and Colorado breweries at The Black Squirrel
  • Collaboration and DC Beer Week brews, like Solidarity Saison at Meridian Pint, the Bluejacket/DC Brau number “Embers of the Deceased” at ChurchKey, and Chocolate City’s one-off “El Segundo Farmhouse Saison” at their Penn Social birthday party
  • Bacchanals, like the 3 Stars/Evolution Crab Feast at Smoke & Barrel and Bier Baron’s Barleywine Festival

And more.  Please, please don’t do that to yourself.  I couldn’t stand to see you deprive yourself of such joy in some misguided attempt at short-term asceticism.
