When one walks into an establishment not normally associated with craft beer and comes away impressed, that’s a sure-fire sign of a maturing beer scene. Enter Tryst, the Adams Morgan coffee house that’s had a dedicated Allagash tap for some time. Head bartender Brett A. Robison is ready to kick it up a notch, getting in on DC’s beer week with some help from New Belgium.
Twenty dollars gets you five (5) pours, each 4.5 ounces, of New Belgium beers, which include not only the obligatory Fat Tire, but also some of their more obscure, sour offerings, such as Tart Lychee, the 2011 version of Kick, Peach Porch Lounger, and a collaboration with Lost Abbey. Lots of fruity, bretty goodness on that list.
But wait, there’s more! After you sample each of these, choose your favorite and get a full glass, also included in the price of the event. Still not convinced? You get the keep the glass, and you’ll be entered into a Tryst and New Belgium swag raffle. More information, and many many fonts, below.
