Scion and Sierra Nevada Preview Crios Modern Mexican

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if I could enjoy this restaurant along with another restaurant inside of this restaurant, but while still enjoying the goodness of the original restaurant simultaneously?”  Yes, you have.

Hold on to your seats, people.  It’s about to get real meta up in here.

On Wednesday, July 18 starting at 5pm, head over to Scion Restaurant in DuPont Circle to experience the above, mind-bending situation as the top-notch crew behind Scion presents the public debut of Crios Modern Mexican, their soon-to-be-opened sister restaurant.  Enjoy some small plates from the forthcoming Crios alongisde $4 drafts of several Sierra Nevada brews, including:

  • Pale Ale
  • Summerfest
  • Hoptimum Imperial IPA
  • Ovila Golden
  • Ovila Dubbel
  • Ovila Quad

If the sit-down gig isn’t really your speed, feel free to hang out and sample some complimentary hors d’oeuvres from 5pm to 7pm, presented by Crios and Sierra Nevada.

In addition to the Crios-inspired festivities, Scion and Sierra Nevada have put together a little something for the funk-venturous.  Sierra Nevada Owner and Brewery Ambassador Steve Grossman will be on hand at 7PM to host a private tasting of two very special Sierra Nevada collaboration beers:

  • BRUX – a limited release collaboration with Russian River
  • Terra Incognita – collaboration with Boulevard brewed exclusively for SAVOR 2012

Guests of the private tasting will receive a 5 oz pour of each beer alongside an equally tasty presentation by Steve Grossman.  Tickets are required for this event, and can be purchased for $10 here.
