Looking for something awesome to do this Saturday? I was. Then I found it.

From an email from DC homebrewer @JustJPTweet:

“Join DC Homebrewers Club this Saturday at Smith Commons from 1-7pm, for the Back Porch Brew Part Deux. This is the second installment of the educational all-grain brewing series, where we will be brewing an India Pale Ale (IPA) from start to finish. We will be walking participants of all experience levels through the ingredients and brew process step-by-step, highlighting the chemistry and art of creating great beer as well as discussing the hotly debated origins of this well-known beer style.

Join us on the back porch for an afternoon of brewing, where professionals and home brewers will be on hand to discuss various techniques, tips, and methods of creating delicious brews. 3 Stars Brewing Company headbrewer Mike McGarvey will also be in attendance to speak about the new brewery, homebrew shop, and talk about the DC beer scene. There will also be food and drink specials, rare and hard to find bottles, and samples of the Common Farm House Saison from our first installment.

In addition to the food and drink, the DC Homebrew Shop and Soap Boy Fresh will be there with awesome gear for sale. Additionally, Uber will be giving away two $50 gift cards at the event.
