Mad Fox Offers Up Belgian-Style Beer Dinner Next Week

Mad Fox Brewing Company has a pretty broad portfolio of beer. Although Bill Madden’s best known brews are arguably the Kolsch and the Wee Heavy, he’s got experience brewing all styles.

Madden and Mad Fox will have the chance to show off the brewpub’s Belgian beer portfolio next Monday, June 25 at 7pm during their first Belgian themed beer dinner.

The five-course meal will be paired with Mad Fox’s Belgian-style beers, including the soon-to-be-released Abbaye de Chutes and the Witte Vos. The cost is $75 (excluding taxes and gratuity) with limited seating. To make reservations using a credit card, call 703-942-6840.

Here’s the menu!

1st Course – Kusshi Oysters
Yellowtail carpaccio, half shell Kusshi oyster, pickled daikon mignonette, ginger emulsion, citrus-soy vinaigrette, frisee
Witte Vos – 4.8% ABV

2nd Course – Tempura Squash Blossoms
Ricotta filling, ratatouille relish, basil oil
Diabolik Belgian Strong Ale – 8.8% ABV

3rd Course – Farmers Plate
Chicken liver pate, veal sausage, Virginia country ham, grilled bread, gherkins, whole grain mustard, tomato jam
Farmhouse Belgian Saison – 6% ABV

4th Course – Duck Breast
Seared duck breast, roasted baby beets, hibiscus syrup
Abbaye de Chutes – 8% ABV

5th Course – Espresso Chocolate Mousse
Belgian chocolate mousse, cinnamon sable, chili spiced peanut brittle
Reynard Black Saison – 7% ABV
