Craft Beer on DC’s Airwaves Today

As many, many others have noted, craft beer has been picking up steam while beer sales overall (and the economy in general) have flagged.  This trend, while fantastic, isn’t all that surprising to many craft drinkers, who have long clamored for more options.  But whither the future of craft brewing?  And when, if ever, will the market be saturated?

Those are the questions to be tackled today by Kojo Nnamdi, the local radio superstar whose voice makes Georgetown professors swoon.  At 1:06 PM, point your dials (or start streaming) WAMU 88.5 to catch Kojo’s chat with three craft beer emissaries: Greg Engert, Beer Director for the Neighborhood Restaurant Group; Julia Herz, the Brewers Association’s Director of Craft Beer; and Greg Kitsock, Washington Post columnist and Mid-Atlantic Brewing News Editor.
