These days, there are a staggering number of beer events throughout the area in any given week. 4 years ago when DCBeer.com got started, not so much. That’s both a blessing and a curse. With that many dinners, tastings, and special releases going on, it takes a bit of creativity and general awesomeness to turn heads.  Sierra Nevada has done just that with one of the more unique events of the summer.

Sierra Nevada Presents: The Progressive Beer Dinner with Bourbon, Jack Rose, and Smoke & Barrel
Wednesday, June 6th, 6PM

Join Ken & Steve Grossman from Sierra Nevada for a Beer Dinner unlike any other. Festivities will begin at 6PM at Smoke & Barrel, where 30 patrons will get to know each other over a can of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Torpedo ExtraIPA in preparation for a unique experience.

At 6:30 the first course will be served. Three items from Smoke & Barrel’s Executive Chef Logan McGear will be paired with Sierra Nevada Kellerweis, which will be debuting as a year-round draught offering in DC.

Afterwards, guests will follow the Grossman brothers down the street to Bourbon where Executive Chef Michael Hartzer will provide three pairings for Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest Ale, a yearly release using fresh hops from down under.

Sponsorship

The evening will conclude on the rooftop of Jack Rose, where guests can enjoy some fresh air while enjoying three more selections from Executive Chef Michael Hartzer, expertly paired with Sierra Nevada Ovila Dubbel, the initial release from Sierra’s growing line of Belgian offerings. The newest Belgian-inspired ale from Sierra, Ovila Belgian Golden, will conclude the night, paired with dessert.

All guests will receive a copy of the poster for this event signed by Ken & Steve Grossman. Tickets are $65 and include tax and gratuity. Only 30 tickets are available so don’t wait!
