Beer Launch Alert: Chocolate City Breaks Out Its Ugly Sticke

We’re a little behind in getting this post up – thanks for nothing, SAVOR profiles – but better late than never.

If you visited RFD, Busboys on 5th, Dodge City or Kramerbooks yesterday, you might have come across Chocolate City’s Ugly Sticke, a German-style ‘secret alt beer’ with an American Craft Beer Week twist.

CC tells us that they “took their regular copper ale recipe, bumped up the grain bill and drastically increased the (mostly American) hop additions, bringing the ABV to 8.3% and increasing the IBUs to 80. It’s been dry-hopped with a combination of Target, Columbus and Millenium.”  Killer.

As you make your rounds, keep an eye out for the Ugly Sticke.  If it’s a growler fill you’re after, swing by the brewery this Saturday.
