I will be the first to admit that sometimes in the shuffle of beer blogging and my ever-changing pallet, it is easy to inadvertently overlook breweries right in my own backyard.  I’m not sure anyone could blame me, with the already vast and increasing availability within our market. A great example of always available and fresh beer is Victory Brewing, just north in Downingtown, PA. On Monday, May 14th, Churchkey is giving us a taste of old favorites and some new experimental beers making their DC debut.

Monday night, 5/14. at 6 PM, we will pour the very 1st DC keg of 013 Pale Ale, an amazing beer crafted entirely from a Hallertauer-type experimental hop so new it is merely known as 013…this ale was crafted for 2012’s Craft Brewer’s Conference which just wrapped up in San Diego, California last week. Be among the first, beside CBC attendees, to see what this is all about!

This will also be your first shot to taste a new Imperial IPA in Victory’s Ranch Series…Ranch 369! The Ranch brews showcase particular hops from particular hop ranches and this iteration utilizes another experimental, brand-spanking new hop called 369! Should be outstanding indeed…

Next up is the most current version of Braumeister Pils…each batch is better than the last when it comes to B-Pils, and this one uses some Tettnang hops in congress with some more of those 013 hops…

Rounding out the list are 9 more Victory draft specialties, including Helios, Victory’s very own Saison fermented with Brettanomyces.
