So you missed out on the 2nd Annual District Beer Hunt, well that’s okay, there’s still a good time to be had this weekend, and you get to go up to Charm City to get it.
Pratt Street Alehouse (that’s the home of Oliver Ales for those of you playing at home) is bringing back the Real Ale Fest for the third consecutive spring. The Fest takes place this Saturday, April 28 from 1-5pm.
This festival brings about 20 breweries together, each with special casks of some of their best offerings. The full list is at the website and is rather impressive.
So how can you drink all of these delicious cask beers? Well, I’m glad you asked.
There are two levels of tickets. VIP tickets are $60, and VIPs receive one hour early entrance from 12pm-1pm as well as access to three exclusive beers. Word is that one is a bit hush hush but the others are The Brewer’s Art “Tiny Tim” and Evolution Rise Up Stout (with something a little extra!) Food will also be served during the VIP hour. The food will be made to specifically pair with each of the VIP beers.
General admission tickets are $40 and give you entrance from 1-5pm.
All ticket holders will receive all the great cask ale they can drink as well as a souvenir mug to bring home. There will be live music all day from Table Top Poets. To eat, why not down some grilled or raw oysters, and pit beef sandwiches on the patio, along with the Alehouse’s full menu.
Some of the cask offerings are truly enviable up there, and you know Steve Jones is going to pull out all the stops on some tasty Oliver Ales offerings. Don’t miss out, get some real ale this weekend!
