Take a deep breath. Don’t panic. You didn’t miss something. We didn’t miss something. DC Beer Week 12 isn’t imminent, but planning for it has already begun! This year’s DC Beer Week will take place on August 12-18. To spread the word about news, a new DCBW website has been set up, so make sure you go ahead and check that out.
The first piece of news out of DC Beer Week this year is a campaign to raise awareness of DC Beer Week and give folks a chance to get some discounts on beer. At any one of 15 participating bars, buy a DCBW button for $10 and get deals at all 15 of those bars for the month of April. Note that you have to be wearing your button (or at least have it on your person) at one of the participating bars to get the discounts below. Buttons are also non-transferable.
After you buy your button, check out the Washington City Paper and get the DCBW passport out of it. Bring that passport to each bar and have them stamp it. If you collect a stamp from each bar, you’ll be entered in a drawing. The grand prize of the drawing is a $50 gift certificate to all 15 bars!

The Big Hunt: Sunday thru Thursday, 9 PM to 12 AM – $1 off featured craft beers
