Sorry for the short notice on this event, folks, but even though there isn’t a lot of lead time, this is still a pretty exciting event. David Walker of Firestone Walker will be at Smoke and Barrel tonight, and so will a bunch of his beers.
The “meet-and-greet tasting” will allow attendees to try FW’s beers while also pairing them with plates from chef Vincent Waide.
Here are the beer and food menus (take $3 off any of the following full pours or pay $1 for a 4oz taster when ordered as a pairing!):
Firestone Double Barrel Ale
Firestone Double Jack
Firestone Pale 31 (cask & draft)
Firestone Union Jack
Firestone Walker’s Reserve
Roasted jalapeno and pork crackling corn bread with in-house smoked spicy Carolina sausage and hot pepper chow chow $7.95
Mixed green salad with red onions, pecans, gorgonzola, and crispy fatback in a chipotle citrus dressing $8.95
White bean and country ham soup $4.95 cup / $6.95 bowl
Balsamic glazed bacon wrapped pork filet with pan fried potatoes and collard greens $9.95 / 2 filets for $13.95
Homemade moon pie with whipped cream and Coca Cola reduction $5.95
Good opportunity to get some face time with a great beer personality tonight, check it out!
Disclaimer: I’m employed part-time by Smoke and Barrel. DCBeer would have posted this event whether that was the case or not.
