This event has been postponed. A make-up date will be announced when it’s available!
Last month’s sold out High Tea at the Hunt: an Introduction to Breakfast Stouts was so popular that we decided to keep the beer education train rolling. DCBeer and The Big Hunt are proud to announce that we’re teaming up again to bring you a fine beer education event, this time on one of the most ubiquitous craft beer styles: the pale ale!
Join us on Sunday, March 18 from 3-5pm for Strange Tales and Pale Ales. Join us for an afternoon of exploration into the storied history of one of America’s most popular craft beer styles. After our examination of the different takes on pale ales as a style and a delving into the history behind the breweries that make these suds, you’ll walk away from the Hunt happy, hoppy, and highly educated about craft beer.
We’ll be bringing you five great examples of pale ales as well as some tasty snacks to munch on while you sip. These won’t be pairings, per se, but they will be tasty little morsels that will all pair well with any of the beers we’ll be pouring.
The beer list will include:
DC Brau – Public Pale Ale
Sierra Nevada – Pale Ale
EDITOR’S NOTE, we’re dropping Dale’s in favor of Oxbow – Farmhouse Pale Ale
Oskar Blues – Dale’s Pale Ale
Oliver Ales – Strongman Pale Ale
Brewery Ommegang – Belgian Pale Ale
