BlackFinn, near Farragut Square, may not be the first restaurant you think of when you think craft beer. It may not even be the tenth. I was in there a month or two ago and was happy to find Bell’s Best Brown on draft. This diamond in the rough is indicative of the improvements BlackFinn is slowly but surely trying to make on its beer menu.

On March 13 stop in to see how BlackFinn is doing during their four course Guinness dinner. George Frigo, Quality Specialist for Guinness, will be on-hand to chat about beer during the dinner, which will feature Irish dishes and beer pairings.

The $40 tickets include dinner, beer of your choice upon arrival, and 6 oz. beer tastings with each course. To purchase tickets or inquire about group rates, please email Party@BlackFinnDC.com

Here’s the menu!

1st Course
Cream of Potato and Wild Leek Soup with Harp

2nd Course
Smoked Salmon “Ballycotton” with Smithwicks

3rd Course
Gaelic Steak with Guinness Draught

4th Course
Homemade Bailey’s Chocolate Mousse with Guinness Foreign Extra Stout

BlackFinn has graciously offered our readers a pair of tickets to this dinner. Leave in the comments what your feelings on Guinness are, or what your favorite Irish or Irish-style beer is, and we’ll pick a winner randomly to get this pair of tickets! Make sure to comment before Sunday night. Cheers!
