Brian Stumke is making some of the best and most interesting saisons on the planet right now. In just a short amount of time, Brian has brewed with some of the best and managed to make beers like Cellar Door and Of Love and Regret staples at fine beer bars everywhere.
On Thursday March 1, join Brian “Stillwater” Strumke and Lucas Bols at Jack Rose Dining Saloon, starting at 6 pm, as they celebrate their collaboration with the DC launch party of the “Kopstootje.”
Based on the Dutch tradition of a “little head butt,” the combination of a beer and a shot of Genever has been re-imagined and together, Brian has forged the “Kopstootje”, his version of a deconstructed Genever brewed with rye, wheat, corn and barley, along juniper berries and 5 other spices.
With Brian Stillwater at the helm of the evening, Jack Rose will be serving Stillwater’s “Kopstootje” and Bols Genever side by side, as well as offering them individually.
Jack Rose master mixologist, Rachel Sergi, will be crafting her own Genever cocktail for the spirits enthusiasts.
For the beer lovers, 5 other featured Stillwater Artisanal beers will be featured:
Cellar Door – Belgian Saison brewed with White Sage
Two Gypsies \ Our Side – Collaboration between Brian “Stillwater” Strumke and Mikkel “Mikkeller” Borg Bjergsø – combines the best from both Mikkeller Stateside IPA and the Stillwater Stateside Saison
