Are you interested in beer and want to learn more about it? Do you already know beer pretty well but want to learn more about a more unique style? Do you like coffee? Or dessert? Is the only stout you’re familiar with Guinness? Do you enjoy having fun on Sunday afternoons when you don’t have work the next day and can do what you want because it’s a holiday weekend which means Sunday is really Saturday part two?

If you answered yes to any of the above, The Big Hunt and DCBeer just made your morning. You see, one of our goals here at DCBeer this year is to sponsor a series of beer education events. This is the first in that series, and we hope you’ll join us!

Be there, Sunday, February 19 from 3 to 5pm for “High Tea at the Hunt: An Introduction to Breakfast Stouts.”. We’ll be pairing five different stouts that feature coffee with local and “local” sweets. As you eat and drink your way to mid-afternoon joy, I’ll be discussing beer in general (maybe with some special guests!), what to look for when tasting a beer, breakfast stouts as a style, and whatever else attendees are interested in hearing about! This is a great way to try out what is an unfamiliar style for many in an educational, fun, and delicious environment.

Tickets are $30 per person, inclusive of tax and tip, which includes five 10oz. pours and their sweet pairings. Tickets are available via Paypal and are limited.(see below, the cost is $31 there to cover Paypal’s fee.) Note that you don’t need a Paypal account to pay via Paypal below!
