Tomorrow night, Thursday, February 9 at 6 PM, 3 Stars Brewing Company and Oliver Ales will release B.W. Rye Volume #3 at ChurchKey at 6pm.
The collaboration from Dave Coleman, Mike McGarvey and Steve Jones of Pratt St. Ale House in Baltimore, is a Belgian-inspired Farmhouse Saison. This is the first time this beer will appear on both draft and a cask.
Dave Coleman, President of 3 Stars, said of the beer, “We decided to use the same yeast strain, so there is a good amount of similarity [to the Syndicate Saison, a collaboration brewed with Evolution this past summer] there. This is very dry and has a nice pronounced hop presence. At 5.8%, it is extremely sessionable.”
The cask has been designed for the kickoff party with lemon peel and Citra hops in the firkin.
B.W. Rye Volume #2 Imperial Porter that has been matured in oak barrels will also be on tap.
