Brewer’s Association Announces 2012 SAVOR Attendees

The Brewer’s Association’s gala food and beer pairing event, SAVOR is back for another year of craft beer at the National Building Museum on June 8 and 9.

The brewery list for SAVOR was released today, and we’re pleased to report that some local brewers will be on-hand showing off their beers at this year’s event! DC Brau, Port City Brewing Company, and Capital City Brewing Company, and Vintage 50 were all selected to attend this year. They’ll each be bringing two beers to show off the local brewing scene.

Our understanding of how breweries are selected for SAVOR is that it’s a modified lottery system with some spots guaranteed (for event sponsors, etc.). The lottery system works beautifully allowing for smaller breweries to pour right along side industry giants.

Remember DCBeer.com is your source for SAVOR 2012 coverage. From profiles on the breweries and beers, to our checklist of can’t-miss beers, to interviews with brewers, to full coverage of SAVOR Beer Week 2012, stick with DCBeer.com for the latest and greatest on the events surrounding one of the BA’s most anticipated events of the year.

Ticket sale information will be posted here as soon as it is available.
