On Sunday, January 22nd Nahem Simon worked his last day at ChurchKey, where he served as Assistant Beer Director. Effective 9am on Monday, January 23rd, he takes over as Beer Director at Adams Morgan’s Jack Rose Dining Saloon.
While celebrating his final shift, Nahem was kind enough to share with us his first event for Jack Rose. On Wednesday, February 1st, Schlafly founder and Georgetown grad Dan Kopman will be on hand with many of Schlafly’s stouts, including a vertical tasting of Schlafly’s bourbon barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stouts from 2008 to 2010. Also on draft will be Schlafly Oatmeal Stout, Schlafly Coffee Stout, Schlafly Irish-Style Extra Stout and the very rare Schlafly Vanilla Milk Stout!
But wait, there’s more! Schafly gets its bourbon barrels from a micro-distillery in Bardstown (they’re not saying which one), KY. Jack Rose will also be serving that bourbon alongside the beers so customers can taste where the Russian Imperial Stout gets its flavor.
We hope to see you there to welcome Nahem to Jack Rose, and to drink some stouts!
